The SUNY Erie Workforce Development department provides customized non-credit professional development training to local businesses, individual community residents and local government employees. Our training is innovative, high quality, and cost-effective.
For more than 20 years, the department has complemented SUNY Erie’s academic mission and has positioned itself as a leader of workforce development in Western New York.

Driver Safety Programs
SUNY Erie’s Driving Programs department focuses on an individual driver’s responsibility to interact lawfully within the traffic system, fostering a safe environment for everyone on the road,
The curriculum highlights personal accountability, awareness of laws and their broader community impact, and is tailored to meet specific needs of the different types of drivers in each program.
We currently offer Driver Education, a Driver Improvement Program, and a RISK intervention program.
